Construction is progressing well for our new qvevri house and winery in Georgia. The large scale excavations not only provide appropriate footings in an active seismic zone but also serve as a material quarry, the extracted earth being used to form the rammed earth walls of the building.
The use of materials from the site is a fundamental part of the project and it will be the first rammed earth building in Georgia when complete next year. Rammed earth consultancy is being provided by BC Materials, Belgium.
