James will be discussing the principles of de-scaling and the social and political implications of localised, circular water systems in Mexico City with Professor Peter Krieger’s masters students at the Facultad de Arquitectura, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). The discussion will centre around the studio’s project for the delegación of Iztacalco in the east of Mexico City and the political, social, spatial and environmental concerns in relation to water in the once lake based city.
