The renovation and extension of a Grade II* listed building in the Dartmoor National Park. The project seeks to make sense of the structures that have been added over the years, partly through knocking together and reorganising some and partly through replacement with new elements that are sensitive to the houses character and history.
A new extension provides a contemporary and light addition to the historic house, creating a back yard and looking out over the grounds of the house.
As part of the scheme, O’Brien Van der Steen Workshops provided landscape services, reorganising the garden and addressing the problematic entrance sequence.
